On the staff of the department since 1962, and appointed to a Personal Chair in 1990. Director of teaching in the Department . A former CERN fellow, his main research interests are in computational and ionization physics. Fellow of both the Institute of Physics and the Institution of Electrical Engineers. Has several collaborations with European Universities, in particular the University of Padova. A member of the Sw ansea St. Mary's Church Choirs.
