Extreme QCD

University of Wales Swansea  2nd -5th August 2005

The workshop will explore aspects of QCD at non-zero temperature and/or baryon density, both in and out of thermal equilibrium.

Following the success of similar workshops at Nara in 2003 and Argonne in 2004, it is timed to take place the week following Lattice 2005 to be held at Trinity College Dublin, and it is hoped that many people working in this area will be able to attend both.

We plan to invite specialist speakers to review recent progress in QCD thermodynamics and RHIC phenomenology

The list of invited speakers is :

      Juergen Berges (Heidelberg)                   non-equilibrium QFT

Philippe de Forcrand (ETH/CERN)     QCD at non-zero baryon density

Ulrich Heinz (Ohio State)                       RHIC and hydrodynamics

Frithjof Karsch (Bielefeld/BNL)           QCD at non-zero temperature

      Igor Shovkovy (Frankfurt)                       color superconductivity
