Passwords

Please change your password after the first login. To change your password, use the command passwd.

The password must fulfill the following criteria:

1. Be at least 8 characters in length

2. have at least one non-alphanumeric character

3. have at least one number

4. have at least one capital letter

The system is accessible from everywhere, but to avoid brute force cracks the following security measures are in place:

1. the password expires every two months

2. 5 passwords are remembered, so you will need at least six password if you like to rotate them

3. after 5 failed attempts your PC is banned and if you want to connect you will have to ask me to reauthorise you
