EGAS stands for European Group on Atomic Systems*.
The aim of EGAS is to maintain regular contact between groups and individuals from different countries working on atomic systems and related fields.
EGAS ensures that these contacts continue to develop by providing an annual conference of high scientific quality, minimum cost, and participation by many young people as well as their senior colleagues.
EGAS is a section of the AMOPD (Atomic, Molecular and Optical Physics Division) of the EPS (European Physical Society)
